RIP YoSemite Sam

Sam had been missing for a few days and we had feared that he had passed away. My fears were confirmed when Harry called me this morning letting me know they had found him. We got Sam when Brittany was in Kindergarten in Germany. He was the best cat in the world. But for the past yr his health was getting worse and we knew it was a matter of time before he would not be around. I don't think we will ever have another cat like him. And if Harry has his way we will not have another cat. I will miss him.

Update.

Ok so we are moving, moving and moving. Cleaning, cleaning and cleaning. Harry is on his way to Cali for his nephews Eagle Award thingy and I get to stay here and clean some more. I was able to go to Boise for my cousin Roberts open house and guess what? Rubee is staying with us FOREVER. She is so much fun and Bella's best friend. They love it out at our new place. I love it out there too, but I need to get some window coverings. I get a little creeped out when its dark and I can't see out but I know the boogie man can see in.

The best news of all is Kelcey is going to move in with us. She is flying out here on the 2nd of Sept just in time for school to start. She made this decision on her own and we are very happy to have her come out here. We know she will be happy.

If they are not trying to eat eachother faces, they are spooning on the floor. Which I think is nuts cuz it's almost 100 degrees outside. I hope she gets to stay with us FOREVER.

Rubee Doo Dilgard

This is Rubee, she has been with us for a few weeks and it has been a blast. She is 2x as big as Bella. The girls love each other. This is where we are moving

There is a guy at church that recently got married and his house has sat vacant for months. He owns 6 acres just right outside of Redmond. There are 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, 2 living rooms, a separate dinning area, and a loft that will become the "Man Cave". Harry can put all his fire stuff up how ever he wants it. He can even get a really big ugly lazy boy and look at it all he wants. I on the other hand get a cute little craft/sewing room. No wait, I might make a workout room. Hmmmm. Well one thing we have decided forsure is we do not have enough furniture for this house. I can't wait to get moved in to share more pics. We will be moving in a few weeks. Wish us luck.

 

What a fun week

My Aunt Jennifer and Cousin John were able to come last weekend for a visit. They got here on Thursday and left Sunday morning. It was sooo much fun with them. We went to the fair to see a few concerts and also took the dogs out to the lake. They brought their Newfoundland Rubee to play with Bella and they had a ball. We are going to keep Rubee for a month or so to help out and she is such a good girl. Here are a few pics of the weekend and the Dogs.

Don't mind the date on the pictures, I can't figure out how to hide it and every time we change the batteries the date needs to be reset.

Went to Cultus Lake today.

This lake is about 44 miles west of Bend, we found it a few weeks ago and fell in love with it. It's crystal clear and nice and warm. You can walk way out to the middle of the little bay and still see the bottom. We took Bella and the canoe out today and had a blast. I wish I could have taken some better pictures but here are a few.

What a great weekend.

I was able to go to Spokane for the 4th which is always fun. The family usually has a party out at the lake, and it is so much fun to be with everyone. Carrie was home with Nolan and it was fun to hang out with my sisters. Kelli was not able to come but I know she will make it for the 4th sometime.

We took Bella with us and a new canoe that we got on CraigsList for a great deal. The canoe was a hit, the little boys all wanted Uncle Harry to take them out, even Bella would jump in it when she knew we were going out on the lake. Bella was such a good girl, she loved being near the water. We could not keep her out, she smells sooooo bad right now. Good thing she has a beauty appointment tomorrow, nobody wants to pet her and everyone keeps telling her she stinks. She is going to get a complex. No Bloggy

I have not blogged in over a month. Nothing new going on I guess. After this weekend there will be an update. We are headed to Spokane for the 4th which is always a great time. Kelcey is here and we get to take Bella with us so that will be fun. The 4th is always a big deal at the Cabin and we have a blast. Carrie and Nolan will be there. We will miss Kelli tho, she can't make it. We will miss you big sister.

Mothers Day Weekend (a little late)

What a fun weekend we had last week. Britt and I drove up to Tri Cities on Thrusday to spend the night with Jenne. Jenne left early on Friday morning to go get my Mom for a "day of fun" and as they were shopping I was at the airport picking up Carrie who had just flown in. Kelli was already in Spokane, and without Mom knowing that all the girls were in town we suprised her at lunch. She showed up at the Onion and the look on her face was priceless. She was a bit confused and with a tear in her eye, she said "this is the best Mothers Day ever"

We had so much fun, we went to a Movie, we got pedicures, and we crafted and boy oh boy did we eat. We spent the weekend at the cabin and had a blast. I was lucky to have Britt with me on Mothers Day as well. I love my family.

As most of you know my Mother died when I was 11 yrs old. Mikie slipped right in and took in Kelli and I who were pre teens at the time which I know was not easy. The Smart family of 6 went to 8 within a few days. My Dad traveled alot when we were young and I can imagine how hard it was raising 6 kids most of the week on her own but she did it and I never heard her complain about Kelli and I being there. I love Mikie more then anything, and I am thankful to have had her growing up. Now as an adult and being a Step Mom I see the gravity of the situation. I love you Mikie "MOM".

Britt Is Back.

I am so excited to have Britt here this summer. I feel like a real Mom when she is here. I mean I know I'm alwasy a Mom but it's different when you have your kids around. Pray for Britt to find a good job this summer. It will probably go by way to fast. This is going to be a good week. I hope you all have a wonderful week and Happy early Mothers Day to all the Mom's reading this.

39 Years Ago Today

I hope my dear Husband has a wonderful Birthday. He is out of town for the next few days so I won't get to celibrate with him but if he gets to read this on his special day I want him to know how thankful I am to have him in my life. I feel so blessed to have someone love me as much as he does.

When I was growing up, I always knew how much Grandpa Smart loved Grandma Smart, just by the way he looked at her. He always called her his sweetheart and he took care of her until the day she passed away.

I know I have that kind of love. I know he loves me just by the way he looks at me. I hope I never take that for granted. I thank my Heavenly Father for the blessings of a wonderful marraige. And a wonderful family that I gained when I married into the Ward family. Happy Birthday Love.

Easter 09

Harry and I had a very quiet Easter. We went to church and then had dinner with our friends. It's strange being empty nesters this early in life. It will be a fun summer though. Brittany will be here all summer and Kelcey will join us for a month or so. Looking forward to seeing the girls again.

Betsy the Wonder Jeep Has a Sibling.

Harry and I found a great deal yesterday on a new Jeep for work. Don't worry Betsy is just fine but there has been a few days that made me worry and wonder if Betsy was going to make it. I have to deliver the route with or with Betsy. The bad thing is if she breaks down I don't have a way to finish my route. So we have been looking for a back up. As it turns out this new jeep is in better shape, runs better and gets better gas milage. Super EXCITING. We are going to make her look fun and fancy with some paint and pinstriping, so stay tuned. The paint job she has already is in really good shape and there are no major dents or dings. She is 32 yrs old and runs like a champ. I am stumpped on a name for her. I might need some suggestions. I have Betsy, but what will the new ones name be? Please help if you feel so obliged.

Britt's 20

I have been the Mom of this amazing girl for 20 years today. I have been so blessed that this little girl picked me to be her Mommy. I have 20 things to say about Britt.

Amazing, Fun, Beautiful, Smart, Vivacious, Talented, Funny, Courageous, Strong, Wise, Tender, Loving, Gentle, Kind, Humble, Sweet, Silly, Friendly, Lively, and Daughter.

Not such good news.

We found out today that Harry did not get the job in Spokane. I'm super bummed but I'm sure that there ia a good reason that it did not work out. I am not sure what it is right now but maybe someday it will come to me. Oh well.

Britt and Kelcey are in Town.

Britt and Kelcey are here for a few days and it has been a blast to see them. I think they are smitten with Bella. I have missed them soooo much. Kelcey goes home tomorrow and Britt will be here until Sunday.


We were able to celibrate Kelceys 15th Birthday with her. Harry took the shopping yesterday and then we went to dinner at Jonny Carinos. They had a good time and Harry is such a trooper to do all this girl stuff with them while I work.
